Lake Shastina Community Services District Police Department is currently accepting applications to establish eligibility lists for 1) police officers, full-time, part-time / extra help and 2) volunteer reserve officers.
Police officers investigate crimes, make arrests, patrol the community to make them safer, work with community relations, mediate disputes, investigate traffic collisions and provide general police services. Officer may be assigned additional duties including animal control, vehicle maintenance, facilities maintenance or other tasks.
Full-time Officers work a 40 hour regular work week with a Salary Range $16.94-$20.59 per hour, DOE plus Medical, Dental, Vision coverage and retirement contribution. In addition officers scheduled on-call shifts are paid at current minimum wage per hour.
Part-time/extra help Officers work approximately 950 hours per year with a Salary Range $16.94-$20.59 per hour, DOE and do not receive benefits, except those required by law.
The Lake Shastina Community Services District Police Department is a non PERS (Public Employees Retirement System) Employer. Applicants must be US Citizen, over 21 years of age and possess a valid California driver’s license and must provide proof of completion of a California POST Basic Academy. POST Basic Certificate and prior full-time law enforcement experience is preferred.
